Fool

A poem

something changed between me and seashells.

i'm a fool for them.

i sweet talk their ridges.
i weep into their whorls.

let me climb into an oyster.
sleep.
cling to her abductor--
an atlantic ache.
hair soaked in brine,
barnacles like jewels.

like, the richest lil beachcomber
like, sweet 4 shells
like, happy as a clam

like, do you want to see these bivalves i found?
